Faithful Footprints Information Session
June 18 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
You are invited to a free information session for Faithful Footprints, a UCC program that offers grants, tools and support for UCC congregations to measure and improve the energy efficiency of their place of worship. This national program is part of the UCC plan to reduce to reduce its carbon emissions by 80% by 2050 and move the UCC into a leadership position in building energy efficiency and climate action; it seeks to engage 500 United Church congregations by 2025. To create Faithful Footprints, the UCC has partnered with Faith & the Common Good, a national, interfaith charitable network founded in 2000 on the belief that our diverse faith congregations and spiritual communities can be powerful role models for the common good.
Join Stephen Collette, Building Grants Manager, to learn more about this program. Stephen Collette is a Certified Building Biology Environmental Consultant, a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design Accredited Professional and a Building Science Specialist of Ontario. Stephen will outline the program’s details and answer your questions about energy efficiency in your faith community and grant applications. Whether your church is planning energy-efficient updates to your building, has already carried out green retrofits, or is simply curious about the possibilities for your building, you are invited to this evening of learning and discussion.
