Imagining the way of Justice – Taking Action

The United Network for Justice and Peace for Palestine and Israel (UNJPPI), a national network of United Church members, supporters, and partners working together for a just peace for Palestine and Israel, is meeting this year in Ottawa, Sept. 13-15.  There will be excellent speakers, new resources and a chance to share with others working for justice and peace. Detailed information and to register to attend the gathering: “Imagining the way of Justice – Taking Action”. 

A Christian leader from Palestine will also speak at a public event (donations appreciated) sponsored by UNJPPI Friday September 13th 12:00 noon to 1:30 PM at First United Church, 347 Richmond Road, Ottawa. The title of the talk is: “Living in Hope: Between A Rock and A Hard Place”. All are welcome! Lunch (GF and lactose free) catered by Yasmin Syrian Cooking (min. donation $10.00) will be available for those who RSVP by September 4th to: pdurber@rogers.com.

Thursday September 12th at 7:00 PM there is the opportunity to hear Noura Erakat, dynamic Palestinian-American author and law professor speak on, “Justice for Some: Law and the Question of Palestine” sponsored by Canadians for Justice and Peace in the Middle East (CJPME).
