Join us at after 3 pm on National Indigenous Peoples Day and enjoy performances on our Celebration Stage, by Tarniriq – Inuit Throat Singers, Fiddleground featuring Brad Lafortune, Métis Jigging and teachings and performances by some of the 2023 SSIMAs (Summer Solstice Indigenous Music Awards) nominees. So much Family Fun including: Metis Games – Axe Throwing & Archery Ojibwe Spirit Horses Giant Mural & Stories Makatew Workshops – Medicine Bag Workshop Jaime Morse Metis Floral Beading Community Art Jed the Mechancial Bull Farm Play Ojbiwe Spirit HorsesThe evening concludes with an incredible Drone Show at 9:25 pm, in celebration of NIPD. 200 drones will light up the sky sharing an intimate creation story (Mewnizha) to guide each individual’s pathway to Truth and Reconciliation.
