Write for Rights – Parkdale United Church

Parkdale United Church is joining Amnesty International’s global letter-writing event for human rights. This year’s focus is on youth under 25 who are fighting for human rights. Come and write a letter to support youth in Grassy Narrows First Nation, in Northwestern Ontario, who are demanding justice in the face of 50 years of mercury poisoning of their waters. You can also support youth in 9 other countries, who are calling for women’s rights or climate justice, fighting against homelessness or police brutality, or are imprisoned and facing persecution. Drop in and we’ll provide case descriptions, letter-writing tips and supplies, and snacks! All ages are welcome and child-appropriate materials will be available. Join us and make a difference!
