DESCRIPTION:EOORC is hosting an M&P (Ministry and Personnel) workshop on May 23rd from 9:30am -12:30pm. It will be online via Zoom. \nAre you a member of your congregation’s M&P Committee? This workshop is for you\, whether you are a new or long-serving member of the M&P Committee. Ministry Personnel are also welcome to join in this workshop. \nWe will talk about the roles and responsibilities of the M&P Committee\, as well as issues of salary\, vacation\, position descriptions\, sabbaticals\, conflict resolution\, annual reviews\, and other topics that will come before an M&P Committee. \nThis workshop is hosted by EOORC Pastoral Relations Minister Rev. Victoria Andrews (VAndrews@united-church.ca)\, but it is also open to folks from ECORC and Nakonha:ka Regional Councils. \nPre-registration is required. Please register here.

DESCRIPTION:Come to the Camp Lau-Ren Open House on Saturday\, June 13 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Enjoy a free BBQ hotdog\, drink\, and treats. Tour a camper’s cabin\, check out the beach on the Ottawa River\, make a craft and climb the Rock. A children’s summer camp of the United Church of Canada\, Camp Lau-Ren is accredited by the Ontario Camps Association. All children are welcome. Two and six night co-ed camps are offered for children aged six to fifteen years old including a two night co-ed camp for 6 and 7 year olds and a girls’ camp. Camp Lau-Ren is located 10 KM West of Deep River just off Highway 17W at 210 Lau-Ren Road in the Township of Laurentian Hills. www.camplau-ren.com
