DESCRIPTION:Come to the Camp Lau-Ren Open House on Saturday\, June 13 from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM. Enjoy a free BBQ hotdog\, drink\, and treats. Tour a camper’s cabin\, check out the beach on the Ottawa River\, make a craft and climb the Rock. A children’s summer camp of the United Church of Canada\, Camp Lau-Ren is accredited by the Ontario Camps Association. All children are welcome. Two and six night co-ed camps are offered for children aged six to fifteen years old including a two night co-ed camp for 6 and 7 year olds and a girls’ camp. Special guests include CARICOM Heads of Diplomatic Missions in Canada\nand diplomatic officers and other officials representing The Bahamas\, Barbados\, Guyana\, Jamaica\, Haiti\, St. Kitts and Nevis and Trinidad and Tobago (the 7 resident missions). Special Music by Terri-Ann Wint and a CARICOM Reception in Memorial Hall following worship. It’s a time to celebrate the Caribbean diasporic community in Ottawa and the wider EOORC community. A bilingual worship experience in a safer worship space where everyone is invited to come\, grow\, and serve.
