100th Anniversary Survey

In June 2025, the United Church of Canada celebrates its 100th Anniversary! The Eastern Ontario Outaouais Region is planning a special celebration on Sunday, June 15th at 11 am at the EY Centre near the Ottawa Airport (Please note this is a fully accessible facility on the outskirts of Ottawa, with ample parking.) We invite all communities of faith to attend this once in a generation event! A livestream will also be available for those who are not able to join in-person. In the following survey, we are asking each community of faith to update us with their plans for this event.

If your community of faith has already made your decision about how you will participate in the regional celebration, you can fill out the survey now. If you have not yet discussed this, we invite you to bring the question to the next meeting of your governing body (and worship committee if applicable). We have lots of information available on our EOORC website – check under the “Events” tab on the menu. If you have any questions, you can contact us at eoorc.anniversaryinformation@gmail.com. Once you have made a decision, we would be grateful if you could fill out the survey. This survey is for preliminary info only. A registration form will follow in the spring.

There will be a mass choir at the event. Videos will be available so that choir members can practice at home, and there will be a choir practice on June 15th before the 11 am worship service. We are looking to know approximate in-person attendance numbers for the special worship service at the EY Centre.
