2024 EOORC Fall Meeting
Saturday October 5th
Trinity-St. Andrew’s Church, Renfrew
9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
FAQ: Accessibility, Parking, Mileage, Lunch, Zoom and More
Where is the meeting? It is at Trinity St. Andrew’s Church in Renfrew.
Is Trinity St. Andrew’s Accessible? Yes. We are meeting in the lower hall with outside (side door) access on that level. There is accessible parking at the side (please see the parking question below.) There is an elevator in the building.
Is there lunch? Yes, lunch is available for purchase. The UCW at Trinity St. Andrew’s is offering a meal of ham, scalloped potatoes, vegetables and rolls, as well as dessert. It is $25, and please bring cash. You can also bring your own lunch if you prefer; just make sure to bring an ice-pack as the fridge is already quite full.
I remember hearing something about a bus? Will there be a bus? Unfortunately, all of the local bus companies were booked for that Sunday. Maybe another time! This time, we encourage carpooling if possible – a great way to make new friends and help the planet.
I can’t come in-person. Can I attend online? Yes, the first question in the registration form is about whether you will be attending in-person or online. If you tell us you will be attending via Zoom, we will send out the Zoom link a couple days before the meeting.
Where can I park for the meeting? There is a parking lot behind the building, but most of it will be used by volunteers for the UCW and for the Thrift Shop. There is a parking lot across the street from Trinity St. Andrews at the Service Ontario office, and we have arranged for overflow parking next door at St. Francis Xavier. St. Francis also has an event that day, and their evening mass is at 4:30. Please park to the back of the lot, not along the fence line but one row from the fence line. As Hall Street may not be completed by this date, the residents along Hall St. park along the fence line. Please do not park close to the SFX Church building.
If you require accessible parking very close to the church, the best place to park would be on Plaunt Street right in front of the church. The front door with the “Office” hours posted on it is the accessible door. There is an elevator between the main floor and the lower level.
How do I submit a mileage claim?
A mileage sheet will be available at the meeting. We are switching to electronic payments rather than cheques. If this will be your first time receiving a re-imbursement electronically, please make sure treasurer Rev. Brian Cornelius has your information before the meeting. If you have already received an electronic payment from EOORC, no need to submit your info again; Brian will already have it available.
If it is your first time receiving electronic payment for mileage: The preferred way to pay expenses is through Electronic Funds Transfer from the Regional Council bank account to recipient’s bank account. The other option is through e-transfer. For those anticipating submitting a travel claim, our Treasurer, Brian Cornelius, would appreciate receiving transfer information prior to the meeting so that there can be a timely payment of travel. For Bank Transfer, Bank Name and Number, Branch transit Number, and Bank Account is needed. By e-transfer, indicated the e-mail. Information can be forwarded to treasurer.eoorc@gmail.com
