This fall, the Eastern Ontario Outaouais Regional Council is doing things a little differently… instead of one big meeting with all our reps and ministers, we’re holding six separate events in different parts of the region. These sub-regional gatherings are intended to give us the chance to meet our closest neighbours, share our experiences, learn from each other and build connection. As part of our strategic plan adopted in 2023, we agreed to replace our fall meeting in this way. It was inspired by the strategic planning process itself that held consultations and gatherings in different places. It is also our hope that this helps reduce the cost and carbon emissions in the process. Join us November 1st for a day of connecting and sharing. Since this is not a decision-making meeting, Regional Council representatives and ministry personnel are encouraged to invite others in their communities to join. More information will follow on locations and schedules, but for now, hold the date!
