The Bells of St. Paul’s RING IN THE SPRING!
I love the smell of Spring. I love the taste of sap. I love the cry of a newborn lamb. I love the lengthening shadows and the steady drip of icicles melting. Most of all I love the feeling of anticipation that comes from preparing for a spring concert. This year the sense of anticipation is ever present as the Hand Bell Choir of St. Paul’s United Church in Perth prepare for “RING IN THE SPRING”!
The concert will occur on April 12th, 2026, at 2:00p.m. at St. Paul’s, 25 Gore Street West, Perth ON.
Some past descriptors of the overall sound of the bell choir include, “magical” “ephemeral,” and “mesmerizing” The concert will feature beautiful and exciting bell music enhanced by many aspects and techniques of bell ringing, including echoing, marting, table damping, thumb damping, and one piece of music entirely malleted. You could find out for yourself what these are all about by attending the concert.
Other performers celebrating spring include Brad Mills on piano and Don MacLean on Cello, as well as a barbershop octet called “High Octane”.
Admission is simply a freewill offering. Proceeds for the Bells of St. Paul’s. We hope to see you there.
