Built in 1792, the Hay Bay Church is a National Historic Site and the cradle of Methodism in Upper Canada. It is the first meeting house in the now Province of Ontario. The roots of the United Church of Canada began here. As we approach our 100th Anniversary, a visit to where it all began seems timely. Plan a bus trip, there is plenty of parking space, stay for lunch at the picnic tables and learn about our Methodist and Loyalist roots.
The “meeting house” will be open daily from Saturday, May 18th until Thanksgiving.
