World Day of Prayer

On Friday 7 March 2025, 7:00 p.m., people will gather to celebrate World Day of Prayer (WDP) at Trinity United Church, Smiths Falls. The theme is “I Made You Wonderful”. The WDP is an international, ecumenical movement. This years’ service is prepared by the women of the Cook Islands. The motto of the World Day of Prayer movement is Informed Prayer and Prayerful Action. Through our participation in the World Day of Prayer, we affirm that prayer and action are inseparable and that both have immeasurable influence on the world. Donations are gratefully received as they are vital for maintaining World Day of Prayer and funding the grant program. In 2023/2024, 14 grants helped restore social justice to the lives of over 1000 women and children in Canada and internationally.
