Refugee Sponsorship Network

The Refugee Sponsorship Network is a coalition of Regional churches, and allied faith and community groups. We work collaboratively to help displaced persons of any faith find a new beginning in Canada.

The Network is a place for information, shared wisdom, questions, and advocacy. It is linked to a number of helping agencies such as Refugee Sponsorship Training Program (RSTP), OCISO, Refugee 613 and JFS.

Most members work through the United Church Sponsorship Agreement Holder (SAH): some with the Anglican Diocese of Ottawa or with other SAHs.

The Network has produced a Settlement Guide – a collection of members’ best practices, resources, checklists and terminology to aid in settling newcomers. It has developed a Prospective Sponsorship Questionnaire to help sponsoring churches determine what would be involved in an request for sponsorship. The Network also holds periodic learning events open to all.
