Food
Coffee, muffins and squares will be available for all upon arrival. There will also be a mid-morning coffee break with some treats made by Manotick United Church. These are all available to all and the cost is covered by EOORC.
The folks at Manotick United Church will be making a delicious lunch of:

This lunch is available at the cost of $20, which can be paid by cash or card on the day of the event. (If you have signed up for lunch and need to cancel, please do contact Natalie Matkovsky at nmatkovsky@united-church.ca). If you would like to sign up for the chili lunch, please register by October 8th.
Special diets – info to come.
Prefer to bring your own lunch? No problem! We always have a number of people who prefer to bring their own brown bag lunch along, or who need to bring a lunch for dietary reasons. Please bring your food in a thermos or shelf-stable as we will not have enough food for everyone. There are also a number of excellent restaurants in Manotick.
Carpooling and Parking
There is a parking lot at Manotick United Church which holds about 20-25 cars. We ask that, if possible, you please carpool to the meeting. Parking is available at a nearby plaza. If you are able to walk a few blocks comfortably, please leave the spaces in the church parking lot for those who need a spot nearby.
Who can attend this meeting?
Everyone is welcome! EOORC members (including EOORC ministry personnel and elected lay representatives) can vote.
Celebration of Ministries
The Celebration of Ministries service will take place on the evening of Friday October 23rd, from 7-9 pm. (Doors will be open at 6:30 pm.) The service will be at Manotick United Church and will also be streamed on YouTube at this link. A reception will follow the service.
We will be celebrating the ordination of Dr. Joëlle Morgan and Dr. Catherine Cavanagh, as well as the admittance of the Rev. Dr. Wayne Menard. We will also be marking retirements and anniversaries in ministry, as well as remembering ministry personnel in EOORC who died in the past year.
Whether you are attending the Celebration of Ministries service at Manotick United Church or online, there is no need to register. Manotick United Church is an accessible building. Please note that there is limited parking in the church parking lot. We encourage carpooling whenever possible. If you are able to walk to the nearest on-street or plaza parking, please consider leaving the church parking lot for those who need a very close walk.

Fall EOORC Meeting
Our fall meeting will take place on Saturday, October 24th. You are invited to join us on-site at Manotick United Church, or by Zoom.
The doors will open at 8:30 am. Coffee, muffins and squares will be available for all upon arrival. The meeting will begin at 9:15 am, and we will plan to be wrapping up by around 3 pm. The draft agenda is available here.
Zoom
There will be the option to join the meeting in-person or via Zoom. The Zoom link will be available for those registered to attend via Zoom, and will be sent a few days before the meeting. (If you haven’t received it a few days before the meeting, or if you need to switch your registration from in-person to Zoom, please contact Natalie Matkovsky at nmatkovsky@united-church.ca.
Campfire/Overnight at Rideau Hill Camp
You are welcome to come to Rideau Hill Camp for campfire worship and/or a sleepover on the night of Friday October 23rd after the Celebration of Ministries service. This is not part of the meeting, but is a chance to catch up with old friends or meet other United Church folks from around our region. It may also be helpful to you to have a place to stay over, as some of you have a long ways to come to the meeting. You can find more information below.
After the Celebration of Ministries, you are invited to a campfire at Rideau Hill Camp. There will be hot chocolate, snacks, a warm campfire and a chance to gather and experience the beauty of creation.
You can stay for just the campfire, or you are welcome to stay overnight and experience the Fall at Rideau Hill, one of our beautiful camp properties. This could be a good way to take some simple time away, to reconnect with old friends or make new friends, and to rest rather than driving long distances home in the dark.
For more information about the campfire and/or overnight, please scroll down. We ask that you please read all the information provided below. The camp is not fully accessible. It is a rustic property and does not have heating, electricity or attached washrooms in all buildings.

Rideau Hill Camp Fire and Overnight
On the evening of Friday, Oct. 23rd, 2026 Rideau Hill Camp is opening its gate for the EOOR Regional Meeting to enjoy a campfire and stay overnight in the cabins.
You are welcome to come and take part in a campfire and experience the Fall at one of our beautiful camp properties.
Cabins
Thinking of staying overnight? Please be aware the cabins are not heated or have electricity.
Each cabin has 5 bunkbeds or more and mattresses.
Bedding is not provided. You will need to bring your own bedding/sleeping bag.
No cabin assignments will be provided – Cabins are available on a first come first serve basis .
Washrooms
Toilets are in an unheated enclosed building, and the sink is located outside under a shelter.
There is no electricity in the washrooms.
Toilet paper and paper towel is provided.
Accessibility
The cabins and washrooms, as well as the campfire area are accessible, however the dining hall and activity hall have stairs. The camp is on grass and does not have paved pathways.
Hospitality
Friday night – hot chocolate and snacks by the campfire
Saturday morning – muffins and coffee
If you plan to come and stay overnight, please register and pack;

- Travel mug for hot chocolate and coffee
- Flashlight
