How do we lead well when the communities around us, and sometimes we ourselves, are experiencing uncertainty, anxiety and change?

This interactive day for ministry personnel will explore emotionally intelligent leadership and what it means to offer a grounded, non-anxious presence while change is happening. Drawing on the EQ-i model of emotional intelligence through experiential learning, reflection and honest conversation, we will explore how self-awareness shapes the way we listen, respond to pressure and show up within the communities we lead.

Together, we will consider what may be happening beneath resistance and anxiety, how our own emotional responses affect the systems around us, and the qualities that help leaders navigate uncertainty without simply absorbing or transmitting the anxiety of the moment. We will also spend time attending to the values, strengths and possibilities already present within our communities and considering what faithful and emotionally intelligent leadership might look like in our own ministry contexts.

The day will offer space to learn, reflect, connect with colleagues and leave with greater awareness of ourselves as leaders and of how we might lead with presence, curiosity and intention in the midst of change.
