MINISTER (FULL TIME) – CARLETON MEMORIAL UNITED CHURCH

How might we design that “church” in the way we gather and work in the community? In this time of change and external pressures, a calm, consistent anchor is needed more than ever. To design and implement this community-oriented spiritual centre, we seek a spiritual guide/pastor who sees themselves as a facilitator/guide not a driver, supported by a nimble, engaged group: our congregation.

Dedicated to “Peace, Courage, and Confidence,” Carleton Memorial has a 76-year history of engagement with the community, addressing not only the spiritual needs but also the secular ones, from operating a thriving day care to supporting a local community support centre.

PASTORAL CARE MINISTER – PARKDALE UNITED CHURCH

Ottawa, ON – Parkdale United Church is inviting applications for a 50% time pastoral care ministry position, working with a full-time Coordinating Minister and a full- time Congregational Designated Minister for Youth and Families and a dedicated Pastoral Care Team. COOPERATIVE MINISTRY SUPERVISED MINISTRY EDUCATION (SME)- PARKDALE UNITED CHURCH

Ottawa, ON. Parkdale United Church (PUC) is inviting applications for a 50% time Cooperative Supervised Ministry Education (SME) position, a new role designed as a cooperative model with Dominion Chalmers United Church (DCUC). The primary purpose is to support and facilitate the development of a cooperative ministry model (CMM) between DCUC and Parkdale United Church (PUC), while providing an appropriate experience for a candidate for ministry in the United Church of Canada. The SME candidate will discern and develop cooperative ministry opportunities between DCUC and PUC; design, implement and support a Community Care Group model so that both congregations can collaborate in providing pastoral care to their members and adherents; be part of designing worship for both congregations; and be a full member of the ministry staff steam at both DCUC and PUC. MUSIC DIRECTOR/ACCOMPANIST – GRACE-ST. ANDREW’S UNITED CHURCH, ARNPRIOR

Grace-St. Andrew’s United Church (Arnprior, Ontario) requires the services of a Music Director/Accompanist (7-10 hours weekly).

Duties include:

providing musical accompaniment for Sunday morning and holiday worship services.
leading choir practices one evening per week OR prior to Sunday morning service.
proposing appropriate music in the context of service themes, from the church’s music library and beyond.
The church is equipped with a 1967 Casavant Pipe Organ with 2 manuals (and a foot manual) as well as a Grand Piano.
