Global Partners and 2SLGBTQAI+ Justice @Parkdale United

Parkdale United Church is pleased to invite Parkdalers and members of the wider community to an opportunity to meet and hear from visiting United Church of Canada LGBTQIA+ global partners from Mozambique and South Korea on October 6, 06.00 – 08.00pm ET, at our church.

We will also be welcoming members of various Ottawa queer and human rights community organizations. 

The visiting partners – Rev. Lee Donghwan, Rev. Susanna Kim, Rev. Helder Carlos and Wanda Sue Mavulula, are leaders and advocates working at the intersections of faith, theology, human rights and LGBTQIA+ justice. They bring lived experience and theological insight from communities navigating different social, political and ecclesial realities, including religiously driven stigma and exclusion, criminalization, violence and shrinking civic space. Their stories remind us that justice is not the work of one nation or one church—it is a shared calling that transcends borders.
